The Role: 1st Line Support Executive (SQL)
Location: London (Liverpool St.)
Package: £35,000 plus great benefits including 25 days holiday off for your birthday, pension, BUPA health, gym membership.

Weve got an additional role to join the Customer Support team for a forward thinking and dynamic software company in the Liverpool Street area, and they key aspect of this role is going to be providing first class software support to their business customers, alongside ensuring they are getting the most value of their market leading SaaS / software platforms.
You will be working directly with customers to answer software related questions and resolve issues efficiently so a strong sense of customer service and excellent communication skills are required. Contact will be via email, phone and online support via portal and youll be responsible for identifying any potential bugs and providing accurate, detailed information to the development team so that they can resolve the issue.
Its this interface experience that is key and the ability to communicate well with software developers alongside dealing with a good chunk of initial support issues without having to escalate is the key.
Its not just a technical support role, but you will need to have come from that support background but are perhaps looking to make the leap forward to a position which in time, is going to be more about all round customer success, including managing multiple project rollouts, and customer accounts.
Who are you?
A software or SQL focused application support engineer, ideally from a support desk within the SaaS or software sector.
Ideally, youll have had exposure to coding or software support around a SQL query environment but we are not after a software developer but a support executive with good understanding of MySQL & MS SQL, with the ability to run queries across multiple tables, use unions and manage basic stored procedures etc.
In addition, experience of working in a Linux based environment would be great and to take a step further, any familiarity with basic C#, HTML formatting, AngularJS would be advantageous but again, this is a support role within a software company and we are not looking for a developer, just someone that has been in and around a development / support style environment at 1st line / helpdesk level.
Personality wise, youll be passionate about customer excellence with strong engagement skills as the coolest working environment around means nothing if the customer journey falters, so this customer experience, support and success should be the driving force behind everything you do when you come into work.
