Manpower is partnering with a leading chemical manufacturer in their search for a Commissioning Engineer. Based at their Wakefield location, as Commissioning Engineer you will play a key role in delivering investment projects across the site.
The companys portfolio of specialist chemicals are used in a range of industries such as agriculture, food and water treatment. Their COMAH site in West Yorkshire is the focus of investment, and this role will be critical in supporting its goal of becoming a centre of excellence in manufacturing.
As Commissioning Engineer, you will also be tasked with implementing a culture of continuous improvement. Key challenges will include:
Managing engineering projects through commissioning to handover
Involvement from conceptual to detailed design
Leading multidisciplined teams and contractors to deliver projects on time, safely and within budget
Training key personnel across the site within plant operations
Identifying improvement projects using the Lean toolset
Coaching and mentoring colleagues to embed a culture of continuous improvement
Scoping and delivering projects to drive efficiencies within manufacturing
This role will be ideal for a candidate that possesses the following skills and experience;
A strong track record of commissioning within the Chemicals or Oil & Gas industry
Experience of all aspects relating to commissioning
High level of education within Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering
Demonstrable track record of delivering Lean projects
Strong change management skills with the ability to create a lasting culture of excellence
Good project management skills
