Reference: A4558Description: Under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor and as a member of the team, you will be responsible for the provision of an efficient, progressive and customer focused cleaning service, delivering a high quality environment across a diverse range of university facilities.
Through their activities each individual contributes to a positive student experience, supporting students throughout their journey, from enquiry to alumni, providing a culture that engages students as genuine partners with Plymouth University.
Flexible and adaptable in a changing environment, you may be assigned to other areas of the University to meet the needs of the service; this will in turn provide developmental opportunities in which to broaden their experience.
You will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning or equivalent (or willingness to achieve) and have a reasonable degree of physical fitness and the ability to operate machinery appropriate to the post, move, lift and carry equipment, supplies and waste bags will be required. You will also have effective communication, customer service and manual handling skills.
You may also be required to work anywhere within the Plymouth University campus. Plymouth University is based across a number of locations.
The hours and locations will vary depending on the position appointed to and are subject to the business need.
Currently we are looking to recruit Cleaning Staff to work as follows:
*Monday to Friday, 0630-0900 hrs, 2.5 hrs per day, 12.5 hrs per week for 52 weeks per year at the Marine Station.
Due to location this post would most suit someone who lives in the vicinity or has their own transport.
