About the job

An opportunity has arisen for a well organised and motivated individual to join the friendly and helpful Administration team within an NHS service in Aylesbury. The admin team, deal with 8,000 calls a month in addition to a high number of electronic referrals. IT skills are very important, but a key requirement is for high levels of emotional resilience and the ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm. The team rely on each other for support and there is an intrinsic need for the ability to work independently but also to be able to identify when issues need to be escalated.Job Title: Administrator Duration: Up to 3 Months Hours: 37.5 Hours PWLocation: Aylesbury Brief description of role: Answering the telephone, taking messages and processing enquiriesTo assist with reception duties when requiredTo provide support with the typing of reports, letters and correspondence when required and to be responsible for the filing of patient information onto Carenotes in a timely mannerTo use Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook as required. Checking that stationary supplies are adequately stocked and ordering when necessary. Arranging appointmentsSupporting clinicians with calendars and room bookingsEssential skills: Good written and verbal / communication skills Good organisational skillsIT skills including Outlook, Excel and WordAbility to liaise with all professions and levels in a confident and effective manner Good level of general educationEnglish and Mathematics grade A-C or equivalent Word processing experience Ability to prioritise own workloadExcellent telephone skillsGood understanding of the General Data Protection ActMinimum of 1 year working in an office / educational environmentGood communication skills with an empathetic approach Desirable skills:PowerPoint SkillsNVQ Level 2 in Admin Desire to attend courses relating to role, as appropriate.Experience of digital dictation systems and softwareNHS experienceDesire to work in a Mental Health SettingApplicants should be confident in their own abilities and keen learners in order to fulfil the role to the best of your ability.
