Outstanding job opening for a RGN Deputy Manager/Clinical Lead Nurse working as part of a friendly and dynamic team in a pleasant working environment. The home provides excellent standards of Nursing and Residential care for elderly residents. The home provides general nursing for residents with dementia. The rate of pay for this role is around �14.00 per hour, you will be working 36 hours per week plus other generous benefits.
The Role: �
You will be responsible for leading the team with in the Residential/Dementia unit. You will ensure the staff team enable the residents to lead a valued, fulfilling life and to maximize the potential capacity of all residents physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. Develop new initiatives in care practices and overall delivery of a quality service.
You will be empathetic and possess excellent organizational, time management, listening and communication skills. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate residents' needs and demonstrate a solid understanding of Elderly Care including latest best practice in Dementia Care.
� Assist the Home Manager in all aspects of managing the Residential/Dementia unit, ensuring high standards of care are provided for residents and that detailed Care Packages are in place.
� Effectively support the staff in the delivery of the services, proactively developing staff skills.
Ensure the adherence to all requirements and regulations lay down under the Care Standards Act 2000 and all other necessary legislation.
� Work within a flexible rota system adopted to meet the needs of the individuals living in the home.
� Assist the Home Manager with management of staff - this will include motivating the team, training/development and performance management
� Ensure continued monitoring and assessment of the service delivered to residents
� Ensure high standards are maintained at all times within the unit
� Active NMC Pin (General or Mental Health Nurse)
� Strong Dementia experience
� Excellent care planning skills (assessment, creation and maintenance)
� Empathetic and a good listener
