Stacked & Kitchen Assistant Orpington Monday-Friday 08.00am-16.00pm, with flexible approach to overtime hours. Our latest concept is Stacked. Stacked is a made to order, freshly prepared sandwich bar concept and is Country Choice’s first franchise concept that we are offering to our customers. We have created an end to end food proposition that covers not only the sole supplier of food, but a full operational and commercial model too. We have also launched Stacked as a consumer brand and utilising all the social media channels to develop brand awareness. We have currently 3 sites and have a 3 year plan to drive more stores and more brand awareness. Our hope is to be able to offer our customers a credible food solution that can give them an alternative to other high street branded sandwich bars. Role Purpose Statement The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for managing the Stacked concept at our head office in Orpington. We plan is to make concept open daily and offer the staff a food offer at a subsided price. The role will also involve assisting the retail operations manager and new product development team. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities Stacked Getting the kitchen area ready for an environmental health officer’s inspection Managing the Stacked concept on a day to day basis and serving food to the staff at head office and internal / external meeting Be responsible for stock ordering, due diligence checks and daily cleaning Maintain Health & safety and food safety standards Maintain the brand standards of stacked and offer great customer service Assist the with development of the Stacked operations and innovation General Kitchen Duties Goods In/Samples Accept/check deliveries of food & non food products from internal/external sources Co-ordinate samples that are required to be sent to external sites Maintain good organisation of the stock within storage areas Maintain a clean environment of all storage areas Check the condition of pull up stands on their return Kitchens Day to day cleaning requirements of the kitchens- cleaning of equipment, organise storage areas, washing up, removal of rubbish Working to a daily/weekly cleaning schedule Keep a daily record of fridge/freezer temperatures Count, send, check laundry prior/upon delivery Liaise with our equipment departments regarding issues of equipment breakdowns/faults/repairs Internal / External Meetings / Presentations Set up rooms for meetings with crockery, cutlery, napkins Replenish coffee stations/water Co-ordinate requirements for lunches Co-ordinate all food/non food samples that are required Manage surplus stock Support trainers with checking stock levels, accepting product deliveries Administration Place Stacked product orders Stock management of surplus frozen & ambient products Place sample orders for presentation All due diligence checks (legal requirement) Knowledge, Skills, Experience • Previous experience within a food environment NVQ Catering & Hospitality level 1 & 2 an advantage Can do attitude, desire to help & support wider teams Team Player Work on own initiative Basic computer skills, understanding of outlook & excel Communication skills Basic food hygiene certificate Driving license Us: Here at Brakes Group, we have a simple mission – to help businesses who serve food to thrive.  And as we have been serving chefs across the food industry for nearly 60 years, with a business built on quality, reliability, innovation and trust, it’s no surprise that we know what we’re doing.   And with a culture where everyone works together as one team to be the best we can be, with a real focus on our brilliant people, there is no doubt that we have the right ingredients to make your career a successful one.  If you’re looking for development we can help you achieve your aspirations.
