Job Description

Reporting to the Managing Director – Public Credit, this position is primarily responsible for researching and investigating, assisting in building and implementing a wide range of trading strategies for both beta and alpha mandates within Public Credit. Major areas of responsibilities include:

Helping to establish and grow Public Credit’s group presence in Europe including building relationships with key counterparts in the region;
-Using past experience and market knowledge to provide guidance and assist in the development of the appropriate investment platform and strategies in the region;
-Identifying and researching new investment opportunities within this asset class;
-Performing fundamental credit research and presenting research ideas to broader group;
-Assist in the preparation and implementation of investment recommendations and strategies;
-Part of team responsible for pricing and managing risk associated with various Public Credit strategies (e.g. corporate bonds & ETFs, structured finance, credit derivatives);
-Assisting in the development of tools to trade Credit Relative Value (“Credit RV”) strategies based on fundamental and market based research across multiple products;
-General accountabilities include working as part of the Public Credit group to optimize and implement strategies related to beta and alpha generation.
Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience preferably with a Masters degree in Business or Mathematical Finance. A quantitative undergraduate degree (e.g. Math, Engineering, Computer Science) would be an added benefit
-Proven track record managing risk, conducting research or providing analysis in the implementation and monitoring of Credit relative value strategies
-Good knowledge of fixed income, credit and finance as well as strong analytical skills
-Relevant trading background seen as a positive
-Well developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated solid verbal and written communication skills
-Solid prioritization and organizational skills
-Demonstrated good judgment, professionalism and integrity
-Proven ability to work independently as well as perform effectively in a team oriented environment
-Ability to work and learn quickly in a high performing culture, under pressure and with time-sensitive deadlines
-Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable
-Conduct consistent with our Guiding Principles of Integrity, Partnership and High Performance

Additional Information

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package for this full time permanent position.

The position will be based out of the London Office at 40 Portman Square, London, W1H 6LT.
