The School of Nursing & Midwifery is investing in a range of Lecturer appointments to drive up our teaching excellence and research capacity in areas of strategic importance in health and social care. We are expanding our provision and are committed to building and sustaining effective partnerships in programme development to meet workforce need, excellence in teaching, innovation and co-produced research. Our ethos is on widening participation in student recruitment and innovative academic opportunities to engage our alumni.
The School of Nursing and Midwifery at Plymouth University is looking to appoint three innovative and inspiring lecturers to join our highly committed Adult Nursing team as part of our strategy to strengthen our teaching, research and partnership working; two at our main campus and one at the Knowledge Spa, Truro. We encourage applications from highly motivated individuals who are looking to develop their career in healthcare education and scholarship. You will contribute to enhancing the quality of pre and post registration/post graduate provision in nursing and healthcare practice. We are particularly interested in individuals with expertise in acute care, primary care/community nursing, care for frail older people and long term conditions.
You will have: Current registration on Sub Part 1 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council register and relevant clinical experience. A degree in a relevant health related subjectA masters degree in a health or education related subject (or currently studying towards one/be willing to study towards oneA recognised NMC teacher qualification or be willing to study for one
Posts are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check and regular travel will be required.
These are full-time posts working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis. We wish to appoint two posts on Plymouth Campus and one post in Truro Campus.
