About the job
Category: Support | Department: Library Services | Location: Villiers House | Closing Date: 25 Jan 2015 |
The University of West London is a leading modern university specialising in the education and development of exceptional creative, business and service professionals.
Library Services is embarking on an exciting phase of development during 2015 with a new library at the centre of our Ealing Campus nearing completion.
The Resources & Technology team now has a vacancy for a full-time systems administrator to support and develop the Library's growing portfolio of hosted and cloud-based systems and technology assets, in preparation for the move back to the new library.
The preferred candidate will be a pro-active, service-oriented individual with a relevant first degree in IT, technology or Library discipline, excellent communication skills and, ideally, experience of administering and developing systems and applications in an education environment. However, this is an ideal development or change of sector opportunity.
Library Services has implemented an annualised hours working framework to ensure maximum flexibility for individual staff and the University. This means that evening and weekend working may be required on a rota basis.
For an informal discussion about the role before applying, please contact Louise Penn, Head of Resources & Technology #####@######.###
No agencies please.
This is a re-advertisement – previous applicants for the Library Systems Administrator role need not re-apply.
Please be advised that it is expected that appointment within a grade will normally be at the minimum point.
Interviews are scheduled to take place on week commencing Monday 02 February 2015
CVs without an online application will not be accepted
