Clinical Negligence Solicitor Lucrative Bonus & All M/T Work
QED Legal is working with a market leading regional practice that continues to buck the trend in the personal injury and clinical negligence sector and which is keen to bolster its clinical negligence offering with the appointment of an experienced Claimant Clinical Negligence Solicitor who will be based at the firms flagship office in Coventry.
This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic and commercially astute clinical negligence practitioner to join a very successful claimant practice that is actually very different from its competitors.
As a consequence of considerable new instructions, and with one eye on further growth, the firm is keen to hear from either a solicitor or a legal executive with a minimum of 5 years experience of dealing with claimant clinical negligence matters. You will be well versed in dealing with liability, quantum, causation and expert evidence and will have experience of dealing with a variety of clinical negligence actions such as failure to diagnose, misdiagnosis, delayed surgery and negligent surgery and it would be advantageous if you had been exposed to higher value claims such as birth defects and brain injuries. You will deal with challenging and technically complex litigated and prelitigated MultiTrack matters which will comprise serious injuries attracting high level awards and sometimes media attention.
This opportunity differs from so many other clinical negligence roles on the market as the emphasis is very much not on a highvolume caseload and settling a defined number of matters per month but to actually maximise damages by having the time to properly investigate claims and ensuring that clients are properly compensated. In addition, there is real scope to grow the offering further over the medium term meaning that you will be able to grow a team and head this up in the future.
In return you will be paid a very competitive salary and an extensive benefits package. You will have the luxury of secretarial support and will be able to earn bonuses of up to 25%, as well as undertake extensive client home visits, so this is not just a deskbased role.
