Technical Designer (sub-contract) - CAD & Projects
Central London EC2A
Our client, a major International office furniture manufacturer is looking for a self-employed experienced Technical Designer to assist their team based in the company's central London showroom.
The role is varied but centres upon the design, specification, CAD layouts, and quoting commercial furniture projects.
Specific Duties Include:
Producing 2D CAD drawings from surveys / client's office layouts to send for approval
Produce models using the existing archive and prepare them for rendering
Rendering the models using KeyShot software
Creating mood boards and creative presentations
Liaising with project management team to ensure the projects are successfully realised
Producing order specifications and assisting the Sales Team with tender responses
Providing technical support to Dealers and Sales Representatives regarding layouts and installation specifications
Involved in all design activities including assisting other members of the team with their works when required
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Degree in Design or equivalent
At least 2 years' experience using AutoCAD
Experience with SketchUp and KeyShot software is an advantage
Ability to prioritise work and complete projects swiftly and accurately
A strong team player, who is flexible and willing to adapt to changing demands
Good communication, presentation and analytical skills
Accuracy, attention to detail and numeracy
Knowledge of office space planning would be desirable
Additional training will be provided and work may be combined office and home working with flexible hours.
Competitive hourly/daily rate (depending on experience)
