Technology and Information Services (TIS) is the professional support service with responsibility for managing the IT infrastructure, the Charles Seale-Hayne Library, the Service Desk, and the Technology Enhanced Learning support. Based in the Charles Seale-Hayne Library, Library and IT Gateway covers the following functional areas: Library and IT enquiries desksEmail, phones and instant messaging enquiries pointAssistive technology enquiries pointRoving service enquiries You will be joining our diverse team delivering a customer focused, cost effective and efficient front line support service covering a wide spectrum of enquiries in a busy and exciting library environment. The aim of the Information Administrator role is to answer and respond to Library and IT enquiries coming via variety of channels: face to face, by telephone, email, instant messaging, IT service management system or other assistive software including our library management system. Enquiries may cover but are not limited to the following areas: Library functionsDigital content supportSoftware usage support Resource accessUser accounts management (Library or IT)Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)*Effective and efficient fault reporting using ITSM Library and IT Gateway provide first-line support 24/7/365 for all of the services offered through the Charles Seale-Hayne Library and the student open access IT facilities. Outside of core hours, phone calls to the University's IT Service Desk are also redirected to the library for resolution or referral. The Library and IT Gateway team are the 'face of the service,' it is important to our customers that Information Administrators are knowledgeable, competent, and deliver excellent customer service. With that in mind excellent interpersonal, verbal communication and customer-care skills, significant experience of responding to a wide variety of enquiries as well as the ability to work well as part of the team is essential.
