Residential Boarding House Tutor
Location: Thorpe Underwood
Salary: £16,320 per annum in accordance with the QE pay scale
Hours: Full time based on a rota system working term time only

About the Residential Boarding House Tutor:

As their boarding roles are all non-teaching, they focus on the development of their pastoral practices and provide them with a wide range of professional development opportunities. Boarding at the school is a team approach, where all are dedicated to the pastoral care of our students.
For a role available in March 2019, they are seeking an individual who is motivated, hardworking, and sociable. You will work as part of a dynamic team to help develop a House that both students and staff are proud to be a part of.
Requirements of the Residential Boarding House Tutor:
- Good general level of education to include: GCSE, or equivalent, English and Maths
- Experience of working in a boarding house within an educational setting
- Experience of working with young people up to the age of 18
- Able to communicate in a professional manner and effectively with other staff, pupils
- Knowledge of Child Protection/Safeguarding
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
- Friendly & Supportive

The post holder's responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the Collegiate' s Child Protection Policy at all times. If, in the course of carrying out the duties of the post the post holder becomes aware of any actual or potential risks to the safety or welfare of children in the school s/he must report any concerns to the Collegiate's Designated Safeguarding Lead.
