About the job
Tradewind are recruiting for a Primary Special Educational Needs Teacher for children aged between 4 and 11 years of age, with children on the Autistic Spectrum (ASD), Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). This does include personal care and feeding the children.
The classroom sizes are small with around 58 pupils, 3 support staff and a Teacher. If you havent previously taught in an SEN school but are a mainstream teacher considering a career change, this school can offer the guidance and support that is needed throughout the transition.
If you have the following, then this school could be the role you need for September:
Experience teaching children with ASD, PMLD and SLD. An understanding of Makaton and or PECs.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Can prepare and teach effective lessons, considering the individual needs of the students.
The salary is equal to the main pay scale plus SEN points and will be to start after October halfterm.
