We are looking to recruit into our Client Executive team by recruiting high calibre candidates to further strengthen the team that provides support to Client Relationship Managers in delivery of treasury advice to local authorities. The role provides the opportunity to assist and shadow senior staff, work directly with our clients, whilst learning the professional aspects of the treasury field, with a view to advancing a career in this area.
Main Responsibilities: • Keep in constant contact with clients via telephone calls, emails and meetings to provide any necessary support and market updates.• Produce client meeting presentations, which include economic updates, interest rate forecast, balance sheet review, summary of prudential indicators, debt portfolio analysis and investment analysis. • Monitor ratings bulletins from Fitch, Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s and produce credit rating updates to the client highlighting the rational of the change in rating and its effect in Link’s credit methodology.• Production of monthly investment reports for clients.• Production of quarterly benchmarking reports.• Monitor and update clients’ debt portfolios.• Follow fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments through the analysis of information obtained from financial publications.• Write economic bulletins, which review gilt market movements and major economic events. You will need to have an appreciation of fundamental market drivers.• Compile and despatch regular new updates to clients.• Produce tender responses to retain and win new business.• Maintain client data base through Link’s passport system.• Attend client seminars.
Required:• Excellent interpersonal skills.• High standard of written and spoken English.• Strong analytical ability with a particular emphasis on quantitative and IT skills; knowledge of MS Excel (Macros, VBA desirable), Word and PowerPoint is essential.• Conscientious worker with particular attention to detail.• Must have a degree, or equivalent academic qualification or demonstrable experience in financial services; proficiency in Economics/ Accounting/ Computers and Mathematics will be highly beneficial.
Desirable: • Knowledge of financial markets.• Experience in client service.• Knowledgeable in MS Excel Macros and Visual Basic for Applications.
