We are a homecare agency that prides itself on delivering a high quality of care to our service users. We are seeking to recruit highly organised, motivated Care Assistants and Senior Care Assistants with pleasant personalities and a patient, caring nature to cover our clients within South Gloucestershire.

    1. HOME CARE ASSISTANTS:

Full-Time and Part- time Care Assistants required for shifts starting from 7am-2pm, 4pm-10pm, nights and sit-ins. We are also looking for Care Assistants that would like to work from 9 2.30 to fit around SCHOOL HOURS. We can be flexible with hours, so apply for the role and talk to us about you are looking for.

Care Assistants must be able to work on your own initiative as you will be joining a team of committed care workers providing help and support to vulnerable individuals in their own homes. Duties include personal care, domestic duties and other tasks, as and when required.

    1. FULL TIME SENIOR HOME CARE ASSISTANT:

The Senior Home Care Assistant is jointly responsible for the continuity of care for our customers, working alongside the Care Co-Ordinators.

Excellent organisational and communication skills, together with a calm and supportive manner are vital for this role.

Senior Home Care Assistants must be able to:

  • Ensure that there are sufficient resources in place to cover the delivery of scheduled care at all times, for your area of customers, arranging cover for staff sickness/holidays/absenteeism.

  • Help to organise rotas and working patterns for Care Assistants so that they are efficient and logical.

  • Prioritise effectively in order to meet unexpected emergencies.

  • Take part in the out of hours emergency on-call rota system.

  • Work with the office team to maintain up-to-date electronic and hand-written records.

  • Ensure that all information relating to customers and their families is kept confidential and stored securely.

  • Carry out general office duties, including the preparation of reports, filing paperwork, replenishing paperwork and other tasks

  • Assist and comply with any investigations relating to the quality of the service and implement improvements

  • Liaise with customers and their families

  • Work with the in house team and other health and social care professionals to deliver high quality home care services in a professional manner.

The Senior Care Assistant will be provided with full training in line with regulatory requirements.

Senior Home Care Assistant knowledge and experience:

  • Minimum of 12 months in a care coordinator role with a domiciliary (home) care provider

  • Willingness to work flexibly and commitment to keeping knowledge and skills up to date

Desirable criteria:

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent

  • Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3

  • SKILLS, APTITUDES AND ABILITIES FOR BOTH ROLES:

  • Excellent time-keeping and organisational skills with the ability to plan and organise work effectively.

  • Excellent administrative skills with the ability to maintain clear and accurate records (written & electronic) and follow statutory reporting procedures.

  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative, seeking guidance when needed and escalating issues appropriately.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong, positive working relationships with all stakeholders.

  • Ability to think clearly when under pressure and act in a professional manner at all times.

  • Comfortable working as part of a team, but also able to use own initiative to solve problems, especially in an emergency.

  • Adhere to and comply with all policies and procedures, undertaking all duties and responsibilities in compliance with rules and regulations set out by CQC (the regulator), acting as a role model for others.

ESSENTIAL:

  • For all roles, Care Assistants and Care Coordinator must have a full driving licence and access to a car. We are offering competitive rates of pay and we pay for mileage between visits.
