Assoc. Professor (SL)/Lecturer in Postgraduate Education
Principally, you will work in conjunction with clinical and academic colleagues on the design, development, University approval and delivery of the Masters in Clinical Education, but will be required to contribute to relevant modules in other postgraduate programmes, as required - and in particular to the development of a programme of continuing professional development (CPD) modules to complement the business delivery of the School. You will also be expected to contribute directly to clinical education in one or more of the disciplinary areas of postgraduate education within PU PSMD and to the development and implementation of innovative teaching practices. Excellence in supporting students' learning experience will be welcomed.
You will hold a MSc or equivalent in an area relevant to medicine, dentistry, healthcare, management/leadership or education and be a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (or able to achieve this within 12 months of appointment). A postgraduate qualification in education/teaching is essential if applying at Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) level. Experience of working in healthcare in a clinical or leadership role is desirable.
This will be a Plymouth University appointment based at the Plymouth Science Park at Derriford in Plymouth.
This is a part-time position working 14.8 hours (2 days) per week on a permanent basis.
