Our client, a RIBA Chartered Architectural Practice based around Wolverhampton are currently seeking an Architectural Technologist to work in their main Midlands office. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Architectural Technologist to work for a leading wellestablished Architectural Practice. The practice pride themselves on the quality of service they provide across a wide range of areas giving a service within Architecture and Interior design to some excellent clients.
The Architectural Technologist will assist Senior Technicians and Directors in producing Planning drawings, Working Design drawings, schedules and other documents for Technical Compliance. There will be the chance to work both independently and as part of a team, along with presenting ideas to be put forward to a range of some really noteable clients. There will be the opportunity for progression and the chance to build a long term career within this fantastic practice.
The Architectural Technologist will have a minimum of 3 years experience with an understanding of Building Regulations and Planning Legislation/Procedures. Computer Aided Design Software (AutoCAD/Revit) and General Building Detailing knowledge is also a must for the role.
Production of feasibility, planning and working drawings.
In consultation with Senior staff, decide the format and scope of design data required for project (drawings, schedules, specification, etc.).
Interpret instructions from senior Architectural staff regarding technical content of drawings, and legal requirements of the Building Regulations and other statutory bodies.
Translate standard/proprietary manufacturers details onto working drawings.
Ensure the dimensional accuracy and compliance with all relative project drawings.
When necessary, visit site and carry out level/measured survey to ensure dimensional compatibility between existing and proposed structures.
HNC / Bsc in Architectural Technology or Construction/Building discipline
5+ years experience
Understanding of Building Regulations and Planning Legislation/Procedure and General Building Detailing.
Computer Aided Design Software (Revit Preferred)
Salary £28,000 £35,000
