Income Officer, LoughboroughA local authority in Loughborough are recruiting for an experienced Housing Income Officer required to manage rent accounts for the Council's housing stock. The RoleThe focus of this role is to contribute effectively within the income team, supporting and advising our tenants and leaseholders with a view to maximising income to both our tenants and the organisation. This will also include the following responsibilities:*To provide advice and information to residents about their rent, service charge and other debts actively seeking ways to maximise income for our tenants and leaseholders.*To be responsible for maximising income within a given portfolio or area, taking enforcement action where necessary in line with policies, procedures and the legislative framework.*To ensure that all actions are carried out within the boundaries of the protocols with partner agencies so that the appropriate support and advice is available to vulnerable tenants.*To refer cases to the Money Management Officer, Housing Benefits and other agencies as per the detailed protocols and procedures.*To advise all tenants and leaseholders on the range of payment methods available and other initiatives such as the Contents Insurance Scheme.The CandidateTo be considered for this role, you will require previous experience within Housing Income Collection and due to the nature of the role, you will need to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle.The ContractThis is a three month contract, covering the recruitment for a permanent position.
