The London School of Film, Media and Design, an exciting and innovative new School within the University of West London, will be formally launched in September 2015. Building on the University's new strategic plan: Ambition 2018, the School will be at the heart of our vision to provide a high quality career-focused student experience connected to the world of work and underpinned by a guaranteed work placement.
The London School of Film, Media and Design's vision is to be nationally and internationally recognised as a vibrant hub of creative learning, which will produce graduates who are 'Connected Creatives' - distinguished not only by their intellectual capabilities, but also by their enterprising qualities, employability and skills, and their aptitude and ambition to contribute to the creative lives of their communities.
In preparation for the launch of the School we wish to appoint a talented and inspirational Senior Lecturer in Commercial Photography to provide clear strategic and operational leadership on our photography courses. We are particularly seeking candidates who are able to course lead our undergraduate courses in this area. You should be supportive of the vision for the London School of Film, Media and Design, and able to deliver research, innovation and enterprise.
We would like to speak to candidates who are creative, entrepreneurial, committed and ambitious with the academic and professional credibility to develop our reputation with the creative industries and beyond, both nationally and internationally.
Candidates must have a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline. You should ideally hold a PhD, or equivalent demonstrated research, innovation and/or enterprise record, and have significant professional experience and achievement in your field. You will have significant experience of teaching in higher education.
