About the job
A great opportunity for outgoing people who have an interest in working temporary in a Museum and happy to move around in different roles and engage with the public.
You will have a 3 day induction starting on the 9th March at 09:30 a.m. The three days induction will be added to the first week of work meaning you will only be paid for the induction provided you have completed work.
Temporary Staff will be expected to be available throughout until 10th April including weekends. There is no guarantee of work after the 10th but we will monitor performance over the period and assess whether some may be kept on for future work.
We will be looking for a minimum of 10 – maximum 12 people.
They must be self-motivated
Comfortable in generating donations
Comfortable in till/cash with
Overall Purpose of the role:
To ensure that callers and visitors to the Natural History Museum are provided with a high quality, visitor focused customer service, to ensure that their experience is enjoyable whilst maximising income generation activities.
The Bookings and Sales team is responsible for the following areas:
• Ticket desk sales
• Donations targets
• Membership targets
• Retail targets
• Gift Aid targets
• Information desks and visitor reception
• Customer services
• Special exhibitions
Bookings and Sales staff will generally be based in a specific area on an ongoing basis, but everyone is expected to have an understanding of the overall operation and be prepared to assist in the other areas where necessary.
