We currently have a vacancy for a Key Account Manager, who will lead a small team supporting a major OEM customer with our mobile hydraulic products and applications. The role will involve supporting existing projects as well as proactively working to ensure we secure future projects with major customer.
Leading the key account team, including Resident Engineers to ensure all customer requirements are met
Answering commercial/technical enquiries
Identifying and selecting products from the available product range, satisfying application design and customer specifications and preparing detailed quotations and specifications.
Reviewing commercial/technical content of customer orders, verifying quotation and order, ensuring customer requirements are met.
Identifying variances in quotations and orders, taking corrective action as appropriate. (e.g. additional order lines, incorrect part numbers, incomplete specification etc)
Editing engineering parts lists for inaccuracies and identifying improved solutions to meet customer specifications.
Producing fully priced parts lists for enquiries, meeting the requirements of both enquiry and design specification.
Sourcing up to date prices from internal and external suppliers ensuring target margins are achieved.
Progressing of orders, advising customers of delays, problems and alternatives when required.
Consulting with the design engineers to facilitate completion of sales order and/or repeat business.
Negotiating contracts, reviewing terms and conditions.
Providing technical support for defined products or product range for internal and external customer.
Updating and validating annual price file data on SAP ensuring prices used are accurate and up to date.
Ensuring complete access of relevant information/materials by organising and maintaining files and work area, e.g. customer correspondence, project files, and technical publication files.
Supporting technical assessment of opportunity
Supporting QA processes
Interface with Branch/Application support
Interface with manufacturing plants
Manage support of quotation production
Assist management of product ‘Phase Out’ and price management of aftermarket components
Support achievement of Global Key Account Management objectives
HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Electronics and/or experience
Proven success of securing high volume sales in competitive and demanding market
Good understanding of customer requirements for high volume production/manufacturing targets to be met
Experience in Key Account Management and leading a small team
Conversant in Microsoft office products
SAP R3 or similar integrated system
Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following;
Pro-active working style and ability to work under pressure
-Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage business relationships
-Ability to build meaningful networks both locally and internationally to support the customer
-Hold a valid UK or European driving licence
