SERIO is a leading provider of applied socio-economic research with clients ranging from government departments to regional and local public, private and third sector organisations. At the heart of SERIO - part of the University's Research and Innovation department - is a dedicated, inter-disciplinary team of staff experienced in research and methods.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and hardworking individual to undertake a year-long internship within the SERIO team. We are looking for a Plymouth University graduate who graduated no earlier than 2013 to work within the SERIO Team. We are looking to recruit a confident individual with transferable skills and strong quantitative skills, who can make an effective and efficient contribution to our team.
This internship will give the opportunity to work in a business environment alongside a team of experienced consultants and researchers. You will work on a portfolio of research projects and gain experience across a range of sectors. You will be applying research methods to current socio-economic issues and will have the opportunity to develop team working skills, client negotiation, research methods, writing skills and time management.
You should be enthusiastic and reliable and will also demonstrate that you can communicate confidently at all levels. A sound understanding of the activity undertaken within SERIO would be advantageous. Our website provides further details www.serio.ac.uk
This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week, and is fixed-term for one year. The post will be based on our North Campus (Derriford) and flexible working and travel within the UK will be required.
