About the job

Immediate start for an experienced HR Advisor: joining an existing team of 3 you will be managing the HR from warehouse and factory through to senior management.

Location: North Bristol

Salary: £30,000k

Contract: Full time, permanent

You will also provide guidance and coaching to all levels of the organisation regarding employee relations, performance management, attendance management, recruitment, compensation and benefits. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving strategies that influence and foster a positive culture and work environment.

Role & Responsibilities :

  • Recruiting staff, which involves developing job descriptions and person specification, preparing job adverts, shortlisting applications, interviewing and selecting candidates
  • Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits
  • Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures
  • Partner with senior Managers and the wider HR team to create and sustain positive employee relations
  • Analysing training needs in conjunction with departmental managers
  • Assisting with performance management processes
  • Review employment policies to ensue they meet company objective and are compliant with employment law
  • Ensuring the joiner and leaver procedure are effectively implemented with other team members
  • Performing employee background checks
  • Absence management and follow up as required, such as conducting return to work interviews
  • Collecting and analysing employee data
  • Organising and uploading employee files
  • Managing employee complaints
  • Liaising with a range of people within the organisation
  • Working closely with various departments, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures
  • Additional ad hoc projects as required
  • Any other reasonable duty in line with the level of the role

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Will have the ability to work autonomously when required

Experience and Qualifications:

  • At least two years' experience of working within recruitment
  • Ideally some experience of ER issues from start to end
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint
