Are you an experienced Rent & Service Charge Accountant looking for a role where you can oversee a major project? Do you have experience of managing a team? Are you an expert in Service Charge/Rent Legislation? If so, then please read on!
Robertson Bell Finance are working with a leading Housing Association based in Central London to recruit an Interim Rent & Service Charge Accountant for a minimum period of 36 months with the potential for extension. This role joins the organisation during a critical period of change and is responsible for a major change in how they process service charges.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the main responsibilities of the Interim Service Charge Accountant are as follows:
- Take a leading role in the annual rent setting process, identifying efficiencies and ensuring a smooth process.
- Undertake a project to move from a fixed service charges across to variable service charges ensuring a seamless transition between the two methods.
- Oversee the production of rent and service charge budgets, ensuring compliance with the regulatory rent legislation.
The successful candidate will be an experienced service charge accountant who is an expert with service charge legislation especially charging allowances for service charges for both leaseholders and rented tenants. This is an urgent requirement so you must be immediately available or on a short notice period to be considered.
