What are we looking for?
A skilled mechanical maintenance professional who is proactive and continually seeks to improve equipment availability and reliability with a strong safety first culture dynamic. As our ideal Maintenance Fitter, you will have great mechanical skills and good welding skills, a high standard of housekeeping and experience of delivering feedback to team members.
We are looking for someone who is capable of following work orders for maintenance work on plant and equipment as well as the management of plant breakdowns with the availability of all plant ready for the production dayshift. You will require the ability to liaise with contractors as appropriate. Additionally you will be required to work weekend shifts and cover bank holidays as and when required. An energy and enthusiasm to introduce smarter and more efficient ways of working whilst ensuring the upkeep of high standards of health and safety.
What will I be responsible for?
Working as part of the team of night shift Maintenance Fitters you will be required to meet and exceed safety in fulfilling the completion of maintenance tasks. These could be routine regular checks and repairs or daily break down recovery and repairs handed over from dayshift, all completed within time restraints.
He / she will ensure that all tasks are carried out in line with HIRA / SSOW covering safety, health and environmental standards and polices inclusive of all site systems and procedures. The supervisor could be asked to deputise for the AMM during shifts where required dependant on the tasks and skill sets required. The role supports the AMM / Night Shift Supervisor in driving maintenance excellence.
