About the job
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Therapies department within our client's Medium-Secure Hospital, situated just four miles north east of York in the village of Stockton on the Forrest.
This is a full-time role but we are also intersted in hearing from applicants seeking to negotiate a part-time hours opportunity
Our client is a major provider of UK independent mental health care.
Set within a Grade Two listed country house dating back to 1800, this hospital has seven wards, 112 beds, and both male and female patients.
Their diverse population makes this Hospital a fulfilling and stimulating environment in which to work, and provides the opportunity to develop a broad range of clinical competencies as well as areas of clinical specialism.
You will actively contribute to the on-going development of the service and be expected to take a lead role in practice development / CPD meetings. You will use your experience of group work to assist in the delivery of the treatment group programmes across the hospital, working collaboratively with other disciplines.
You will be involved in the education of students from several universities, and be responsible for the regular formal supervision of more junior staff.
Qualified Occupational Therapist.
Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Current or recent experience in a Mental Health setting
