About the job

Our client is seeking a parttime Accounts professional who is a skilled and a concise individual with a passion for accountancy . The ideal candidate will have a desire to grow and develop in a familybased company.

The company is currently located in Crewe but is looking to relocate within South Cheshire in the near future (the location of the new premises is not yet confirmed).

Job Description:

As a part time Accounts Clerk you will report directly to the Financial Controller but will also work closely with all departments and will assist colleagues across the board as and when needed.

Duties for the part time Accounts Clerk will be as follows:

Provide accounting and clerical support to the Financial Controller
Process business transactions for accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts
Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
Daily entry of key data of financial transactions into database
Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
Ensure that the companys daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.

For the part time Accounts Clerk role, it would be good to see candidates with:

Previous experience of accounting, administration, bookkeeping and financial tasks is essential
Ability to use own initiative and have a flexible approach to tasks
Familiarity with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers
Experience of Xero accounting system would be an advantage to process business transactions for accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts
Good Excel skills

This role would also suit candidates with the following experience: Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Accounts Administrator, Finance Administrator, Finance Clerk.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week

Salary: £16,000 £19,000 pro rata
