/ Junior Project Manager
Exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator / Project Manager to play a key role within a rapidly expanding, highest calibre IT Service Provider.

This role is multifaceted and includes elements of both Service Desk Management and Project Management / Coordination. Following a period of time working with senior management to understand the business, (clients /customers, operating model and ambitions), youll be responsible for coordinating a range of projects, from minor technical implementations for clients through to onboarding new customers to the business.
Youll also work closely with the Service Desk team, assisting in assuring tickets are resolved within agreed SLAs, creating checklists, placing orders for hardware / software and acting as a customer interface, helping ensure appropriate Service Delivery levels to clients.
While the role does not carry any budgetary responsibility, it is important that you possess good commercial awareness.
Work closely with the team on the coordination of a wide range of projects.
Conduct project planning, understanding the key dependencies, deliverables, risks and necessary contingencies (escalating when appropriate), to ensure that plans are robust and workable.
Assist in preparation and maintenance of project plans, conducting replanning in light of change requests and other variable factors to ensure that project plans remain current and valid.
Liaise with colleagues and clients to ensure that their input into projects is delivered on time and to the required standards and costs.
Participate in quality control, reviewing client deliverables to ensure appropriate standard of delivery.
Manage communications and interactions with vendors on behalf of clients.
Assist in the organisation of key client meetings and workshops, proactively scheduling according to project plans.
Assist in the development of documentation of processes and procedures.
Help ensure the timely delivery of solutions and resolution of incidents in line with sometimes challenging SLAs.
Provide insight to management, reporting KPIs and trends for the service desk and provisioning teams.
Contribute to continuous improvement, working with the Senior Management team to drive Service Excellence and business success.
Skills and Experience Required:
Experience working within, or together with a technical teams.
A proven track record for being detailoriented with a demonstrated ability to selfmotivate and followthrough on projects.
Experience of Service Delivery Management would be of benefit, ideally from within the IT Services domain.
An understanding of ITIL or ITIL certification would be of benefit, as would any Project Management certifications (for example, Prince2), although neither are a requirement.
An exceptional customer service mindset with excellent commercial awareness is a requirement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also a must.
A technical background is not essential, however a working knowledge of relevant technologies; Cloud Services, Virtualisation, Hosting, Networking, Storage etc., would be advantageous
Although not a requirement, it would be beneficial if you have experience working within an IT Managed Services business.
The role is based in central Southampton. Paying £35,000 £45,000 + benefits.
