The Housing Demand service is a highly competitive and performance oriented culture with dynamic service structure. The service is firmly positioned to take a strategic approach in the procurement of suitable Private Rented Sector accommodation for homeless households whilst embracing the local and national challenges ahead. Within the structure, a new vacant post has come up for an experienced Property Negotiator to join us. The primary focus of the role will be to procure Private Rented Sector Accommodation for the service. In addition, the Officer will be tasked with growing and maintaining consistent network of Suppliers and Landlords for the Private Rented Sector scheme.
Your contribution will be of great value to the team; in the collation of market intelligence from private rented sector, competitor benchmarking best practices and local/national subsidy changes within the income benefits entitlement landscape. By analysing the intelligence data collated, you will enter into crucial budget sensitive negotiations with our Landlords to achieve the best value for Homes for Haringey. In tandem with your daily activities, it is expected that you will also work collaboratively with other services as part of the wider homes for Haringey wider business objectives.
As a successful candidate, you will be an experienced Property Negotaitor, with a keen ability to collate accurate market intelligence on the private rented sector and to procure a number of private rented sector units per year. Whether from the public or private sector, you will also be politically astute and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Furthermore, you will be challenging situations you will use your lateral initiative and take intelligence supported measured risks with confidence to lead the team forward as an example of excellence.
