Retail Store Manager - Specialist Retailer - Job Summary

Retail Store Manager - Specialist Retailer - Role Responsibility

  • Creates an environment where the team are focused on continuously delighting the customer and communicates with absolute clarity that the customer is the primary focus for all activities
  • Meets and strives to exceed target key performance indicators for the branch
  • Consistently drives self and others in a dynamic way to achieve retail objectives
  • Uses delegation effectively as a means to achieve goals and develop others
  • Regularly asks for feedback, receiving it positively and using it to improve performance
  • Plans effectively and thoroughly to ensure that decisions and interactions have maximum impact
  • Confidently gives feedback to individuals and the team in a timely, honest and direct way, whilst looking for a positive outcome
  • Is an ambassador for the brand, presenting a positive and professional approach both internally and externally to the business
  • Ensures that the sales floor is replenished at all times
  • Manages all stock control and delivery procedures in the branch
  • Ensures immaculate presentation of branch in terms of cleanliness and tidiness and that the back of house also meets the standards expected
  • Schedules staffing to provide adequate cover whilst remaining within payroll budgets
  • Ensures adherence at all times to company security procedures and policies, maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all regulations under the Health and Safety at Work Act
  • Ensures that all company administrative work is dealt with accurately and timely
  • Manages till systems to ensure correct use by self and team
  • To recruit, retain and train the team
  • To complete banking spreadsheet on a daily basis and report to finance
  • Ensure all transfers are completed smoothly
  • Responsible for ensuring all back order spreadsheets are completed accurately and customers are notified accordingly
  • To ensure the smooth operation of Royal Mail and DPD duties
  • Responsible for ensuring stock checks are completed annually

    Retail Store Manager - Specialist Retailer - The Ideal Candidate

  • 2 years Store manager experience

  • Proven team leadership ability
  • Sports or Formal wear would be an advantage
  • Proven commercial acumen and P&L accountability (preferred)
  • Previous experience in dealing with basic performance management and development of team
  • General understanding of H&S at store level
  • Hands on and consultative approach to sales
