About the job
The successful SEN Behavioural Teaching Assistant will have the opportunity to work within the behavioural sector of this wellestablished SEN school, with special educational expertise, curriculum and resources. TAs will be given opportunities to succeed through the use of highly personalised individual education plans to help support their students.
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience working with challenging behaviour and/or disengagement from education. Need excellent behaviour management skills
Be able to build positive relationships with young people and staff Good knowledge/experience working with children excluded from mainstream school
Teaching assistants will need experience working with secondary aged pupils Teaching assistants will be collaborating with the classroom teacher to define appropriate activities for the pupils in relation to the curriculum.
Candidates who have additional training such as, Team Teach, MAPA, Personal Care, are highly sought after.
The school boasts impressive facilities with an onsite carpark for staff members.
