Protocol are proud to be working for a leading academy offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Admissions Manager to manage the recruitment and admissions activities, ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained and student enrolment and recruitment targets are met. The successful candidate will also be required to make a positive contribution to student retention and progression.

Job Title: Senior Admissions Manager

Salary: £23,000 £28,000 Negotiable according to experience

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week

Location: Nottingham

Job Type: Permanent

Role responsibilities:

Manage systems and processes to ensure positive impact on student admissions, enrolment, retention and progression targets, including enquiries, IAG, enrolment, certification and progression

Provide direct line management to all staff within the Student Admissions team, holding regular weekly meetings

Ensure the department maintains high standards of quality and performance

Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external customers

Work closely with student support, finance, academic and IT teams to provide an outstanding student journey

Work closely with administration teams of external partners to ensure the smooth transition of enquiries to enrolment

Monitor data entry and ensure documentation and processes are maintained across all funding streams in line with internal and external quality assurance and audit requirements (e.g. Student Finance England/Wales, ESFA, ESF, Ofsted, QAA, Academic Partner Institutions and Awarding Bodies)

Report regularly to the Director and Deputy Director including the provision of student enrolment, retention and progression related data

Continuously evaluate policies and procedures and identify improvements to operational functions across the department, including the VLS and AEP systems

Be aware of all recruitment activities and ensure the Student Admissions team are well prepared to maximise conversion rates.

Manage and/or deliver all training to staff within the Student Admissions team

Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external customers

Work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the role.

The person & qualifications

Experience of working in a student admissions role at FE and/or HE level

Experience of active involvement in student recruitment and conversion activities

Proficiency in the use of ICT including Microsoft Office applications, database applications, Management Information Systems (MIS), Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs)

Excellent interpersonal skills and student focus

Excellent communication and numeracy skills

Ability to analyse data and produce accurate reports

Experience of working within an IAG framework, such as the matrix standard

Experience of FE and HE funding streams

Experience of efficient preparation for audits and inspections in contemporary educational contexts

Excellent team leadership skills and ability to motivate others

Ability to work independently and with initiative

Ambition, high standards and commitment to achieving excellence

Willingness to undertake staff development
