This opportunity for an Underwriter to play a key role in ensuring the businesses growth with effective risk management, underwriting applications and ensuring the smoothest drawdown within the Commercial Term Lending space as a part of this prosperous challenger bank based from their state of the art offices in Stevanage.
This bank has a strong reputation within Commercial Lending, along with ambitious growth plans for the years ahead. The business has gained notice and accolades in this constantly evolving market leading to their Underwriters gaining a wide range of skills and additional development. The successful Underwriter can look forward to an extremely generous salary of up to £45,000 in addition to a strong benefits package. The successful Underwriter will be responsible for:
Assessing and providing credit decisions on live cases in adherence to the banks policies.
Reviewing lending policies.
Keeping up to date with changes in regulations and product changes in Commercial Lending
Working closely with other Underwriters and Managers to ensure business improvement
Help maintain and encourage intermediary relationships
Management and support of case managers
Underwriters please apply if you have:
Experience working within a specialist lender, Packager or bank within the lending/mortgage department
Strong mandate holder / previous whole of market experience
Experience of manual underwriting, development finance or commercial lending applications
Previous experience of working as a mortgage underwriter, residential or commercial
Strong market knowledge
