Global CTS are working with a strong SME based in Kidlington who are looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team.


The Supply Chain Coordinator will be reporting to the Finance and Personnel Manager, this role executes day to day material purchasing operations - from identification of purchase requirements through to delivery into the warehouse plus monitoring and control thereafter. The role also involves primary responsibility for maintaining BOMs, Production Orders, cost price lists and other purchasing data within our SAP Business One (SAP B1) ERP system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Place all material purchase orders ensuring balance is kept between customer service, stock levels, and purchasing efficiency - in that order of priority
  • Managing purchasing and inventory of ~ 40% of our products with expiry dates
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely confirmation of delivery schedules and outstanding or rescheduled late deliveries
  • Build and maintain working relationships with suppliers at the operational level to improve vendor performance
  • Working with the Sales Manager, negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers, where appropriate
  • Working with Warehouse Team to ensure shipments of dangerous goods (by air and land) are correctly processed
  • Input Production Orders & BOMs to ensure visibility of work required by Warehouse Team and Technical Team
  • Provide support to the Senior Management Team (SMT) for performance reporting, . vendor delivery performance, On Time Delivery (OTD) to customers, low margin sales, slow moving stock
  • Improve the overall Operations performance, by proactively seeking to utilise SAP B1 to eliminate manual processes, with a view to continuous improvement

Skills and Experience

  • 2-5 years of working in a purchasing, supply chain, or operations environment
  • Working experience of SAP Business One or similar ERP software
  • Ability to "get under the hood" of SAP Business One, to generate reports and refine processes
  • Expert user of Excel
  • Knowledge of Crystal Reports desirable
  • Knowledge of dangerous goods by air regulations. IATA Certification desirable
  • Organised and process driven
  • Detailed and a creative problem solver
  • Effective written and oral communication skills - to maintain sound relationships with customers, sales partners and colleagues
  • Ability to anticipate issues and use own judgement to take pre-emptive corrective actions
  • Credibility and reliability - make realistic commitments and live up to them
