Company Pure are partnered with a global software consultancy to recruit a Systems Administration Manager on a permanent basis. With a passion for all things Open-Source they provide a great working environment and lots of flexibility in hours and remote working.

Role Your responsibilities will include:

Understand the company's needs, formulate IT plans and lead the team to execute Consolidate and centralise all IT needs for in-house and customer projects Analyse problems, identify root causes and implement effective solutions Define KPIs, track and lead the team to repeatedly achieving them Lead by example, provide hands-on support as well as coaching and mentoring your team's development Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies Manage departmental budget and deliver value for money Monthly and quarterly reports to the management team Optimize on a continuous basis and define new ones according to the company's needs

You Ideally you will have experience in some of the following:

Running Linux servers and services Managing servers using Chef, Puppet or cfengine Docker containers Virtual Machine infrastructure, eg oVirt, libvirt, kvm Hardware troubleshooting Infrastructure management tools, eg Foreman, Kubernetes, Openstack Cloud / Hybrid infrastructure deployment and operation Scripting / automation, eg Shell, Python, Ansible Architecting, building and operating new services from the ground up General networking - VPN, Wifi, VLANs, Firewalls, DHCP, DNS Server and client collaboration tools - Email, Calendaring, File sharing, Git, ticketing systems Working in an ISO-9001 and ISO-27001 environment Supporting a highly distributed customer base across multiple timezones. CI, Agile, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code
