Registered nurse responsibilities: 100% committed to helping improve the quality of life of vulnerable people Able to follow policies and procedures Be responsible for the care and protection of residents’ property Ensure that clinical equipment is maintained in a safe, clean and fully functional state.
Report any equipment failures or damage to the Manager.
To be responsible for the safe and appropriate management, administration and recording of medication Engage in positive working relationships with GP’s, hospitals and local agencies.
Caring, kind & enthusiastic Good writing and reading skills Good infinitive Be comfortable leading a team or lone working Ensure the safety and comfort of all residents, whilst encouraging a happy, homely atmosphere To ensure that the care, welfare and safety of all residents in the nursing home is of the highest possible standard, taking full responsibility for adherence to statutory regulations.
To be responsible for the admission of any new residents to the Home for the purpose of assessment/evaluation To be aware of psychological change in residents and report such to the Home Manager or Senior Nurse.
To be responsible for the safe administration and recording of all medication prescribed by the resident’s medical practitioner.
To be responsible for the custody and safe dispersal of all medication brought into the Home, by either residents or the pharmacist.
To attend such training programmes/courses as are available and necessary to keep up to date and further existing knowledge.
Understand care planning processes and have experience of writing care plans.
Requirements Proven experience as a registered nurse.
Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
Excellent knowledge of emergency care.
In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times.
A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsible and compassionate.
Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Patient with excellent problem-solving skills.
or other diploma from a nursing program.
A valid nursing license.
