An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Family Solicitor or Legal Executive who is able to run their own files without supervision. You will be joining a reputable legal practice with a great presence in the Hampshire area.
Due to covering a maternity leave and also growth, the firm are looking for an additional person to join the team. They are greatly busy with new instructions and referrals, although you will need to be able to undertake business development activities to build your caseload and help with the further growth.
They are seeking a fee earner with a good understanding of the market. You will advise on a variety of matters to include divorce and separation, private children’s matters and financial agreements / disputes.
Due to being based on the Isle of Wight, the firm will look at someone who is willing to work remotely. This position will be to cover maternity leave initially, with a view for this to become a permanent position in their new office in Southampton which is due to open in a few months.
Duties will include:
Managing own caseload
Advising on a variety of privately funded family matters
Develop existing caseload in divorce, finance and private children matters
Drafting legal documentation to include Cohabitation Agreements and Prenuptial Agreements
Drafting various Court Applications
Be actively involved in marketing and business development activities
The successful candidate ideally will:
Have at least 1 years’ experience of maintaining their own private family law caseload
Be a Solicitor or FCILEx
Be a member of resolution or hold a specialist family accreditation desirable
Be able to effectively develop business
Offer sound legal advice to a diverse client base
Maintain your continuing professional development requirements
Be self-motivated with a drive to develop the team
Work in a collaborative manner within the team and wider firm
Have a positive approach and strong work ethic
