The role

Our client, VIXIO Regulatory Services is looking to hire a Sponsorship Sales Manager, for a fixed term contract, who is a results-driven individual with the ability to identify and target new sponsorship partners, as well as nurture relationships with previous partners. If successful in this role there is potential to become a permanent employee as they expand their events globally.

What experience do I need?

The role would suit an experienced professional looking to gain experience in a dynamic global business operating within an exciting sector. We seek an exceptional sales candidate with a minimum of 3-5 years of sponsorship sales experience selling into VP and C-level in Marketing and Compliance in the Professional Services space; Law firms, Recruitment firms, Strategic Consultancies as well as Payment firms.

Role responsibilities:

  • Search for and identify leads to build an up-to-date target lead sponsor database

  • Prospecting through personalised communication via phone, email, LinkedIn and other social channels, to secure prospect/customer meetings, with clear intent and agenda.

  • Research potential targets overall business strategy and priorities to align sales messaging.

  • Create and deliver compelling sales pitches and presentations to the target audience, at a senior level.

  • Prepare exciting, value based, sales proposals to ensure sponsorship investments.

  • Maintain and grow relationships with previous sponsors, as an opportunity to develop the partnership and further enhance the customer brand and network.

  • Ownership of the full sales process; identifying, presenting, negotiating and converting prospects into GRA sponsors, through to the transition of new clients to the Marketing team.

  • Provide full visibility of the sales pipeline through the CRM system

Essential experience:

  • 3+ years of relevant working experience in sponsorship sales, with a proven track record in delivering optimal results

  • Open-minded self-starter with a can-do attitude only

  • Passion for sales and delivering brand value, a personal drive for success and a strong determination to achieve your objectives.

  • Knowledge of the sector is not essential but you must be a fast learner and capable of taking on feedback to accelerate your success

  • Curious nature and ability to ask challenging questions to deepen knowledge of customer and customer goals

  • Highly presentable with strong communication and writing skills

  • A collaborative team player but able to work independently using your own initiative

  • Attention to detail with good time management and organisation skills
