Our client, a professional organisation based in Beaconsfield, is looking for a Part Time Finance Officer to join their team.

The role is working hours per day over 5 days ( hours in total).

The main purpose of the role is to provide high level support to the Management Accountant and assist with sales and purchase ledger function, support clients with the processing of payments and payrolls and to assist in finance related projects.

This role is paying the equivalent of up to £27k depending on experience, if full time. On a pro rata basis the salary is up to £16,200.

Duties include

  • Provide financial management information to the Partners as required
  • To be responsible for the timely administration and completion of payments from designated accounts, client payrolls and client payments
  • Monitor accounting procedures and resolve any problems
  • Undertake ordering, processing and payment for all goods and services as required
  • Be responsible for the operation of and regular reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Preparation of invoices as required
  • Maintain petty cash for the office
  • Collate staff expense claims and escalate queries or anomalies as appropriate
  • Ensure that all expense claims are paid promptly and in line with company policy
  • Assisting with any other sundry sales ledger, purchase ledger or book-keeping tasks as required on an ad- hoc basis
  • Ensure that timesheets are reconciled and processed in a timely manner in line with agreed procedures

Skills/Experience

  • Experience in a finance role
  • Excellent use of IT including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, online banking platforms and ideally audit and accounts packages (CCH)
  • Enthusiastic and flexible approach to work
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Good communication skills and a professional manner with people at all levels
  • To meet deadlines set, with attention to quality and detail, demonstrating excellent presentation
  • Maintains high professional standards of conduct and practice
