Gi Group are working with one of the UKs leading modular home builders to source multiple candidates for their large scale factory in Sherburn in Elmet, Leeds. We are supporting a ramp up in Production to meet ever-increasing customer demand with a recruitment drive for Production Operatives at various levels.
Our main objectives are to provide people with the right skills, behaviours and attitude to work to support the increase in workload.

Excellent training and progression is offered at this company. They have an in house training academy to provide you with extra knowledge, additional skills and Health & Safety tools with regular assessments to increase the number of sections you are able to cover within the factory.
Starting salary £21,736
Monday - Friday rotating between Days and Afternoon shifts
As a Production Operative your key activities will be focused on the assembly and completion of Modular houses. A high level of flexibility will be required within this role to achieve the full requirements of modular assembly.
This will encompass assembly operations, material control / movement and process verification throughout the staged build of the product. A high level of engagement and contribution in the continuous improvement of the production system will be required to ensure both the product and process are optimised to the highest standards You will also actively collaborate across Production, Engineering and Logistics to ensure the delivery of the highest quality modules to time. In addition to these requirements you may be asked to perform other duties by your line manager to support the development of the business objectives.
- No formal qualifications are required, however, DIY or previous similar experience would be advantageous
- You will have good written and verbal literacy and numeracy skills
- General knowledge of building trades would be advantageous
- You will need to demonstrate our business values & behaviours - Straightforward, purposeful, continuous improvement & collaboration
- Be resilient, reliable and manage timekeeping
