Could you be a Sense Support Worker?
It's an exciting time as Sense has just released its new strategy, we now have an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our service in West Bromwich.
This is a permanent role, working hours per week.
You will join a fantastic team here at our service in West Bromwich, where you will be supporting two individuals who have learning disabilities with a range of health conditions.
As a Support Worker, you will support the individuals with personal care needs, as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing.
We like to participate in a wide range of activities, including cycling, disco, hydro pool and outdoor pursuits.
The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. The people we support are individuals and they are all treated as such.

Your duties can include:
To support individuals / groups within the home, centre and community.
To provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.

Your required skills and experiences:
For genuine occupational reasons we are looking to appoint a male candidate only (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9).
You require a full manual UK license and must be willing/able to drive our minibus.
Knowledge of or qualification in British Sign Language or similar is beneficial ( BSL / Makaton etc.)
You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker.
Having lone working experience supported with Challenging behaviour is desirable.
