Customer Relationship Manager
Permanent (Full time)
Our client is looking for an experienced Business Development / Account Manager, with excellent customer relationship skills. You will be joining a fast-growing organisation who pride themselves on their reputation as market leaders and always deliver the highest levels of customer service. Previous National or International Sales exposure would be advantageous as is an understanding of selling technical products through partner / OEM networks.
Duties to include:
Respond to inbound leads with the aim of converting these into sales opportunities, using the data effectively.
Research potential partner organisations and identify decision makers to find new distributors and OEM customers.
Establish customer needs and work with the wider team to plan projects and proposals and see these through to completion.
Product demonstrations / presentations to help potential customers understand the product range and their benefits, as well as providing recommendations and quotations, using an established pricing model.
Negotiate with decision makers and build positive, long term relationships through regular contact and excellent customer service.
Communicate with customers to ensure they are kept informed throughout the order process – ensuring they are up to date with any changes, delays, etc.
Provide after sales support to customers, working closely with the technical team to handle more complex technical queries.
Cross sell / work with customers to gain potential referrals for new business opportunities.
Work to agreed KPI’s to measure trends and progress.
You may be required to attend trade shows, conferences and other events (Please note that a valid UK Drivers Licence and Passport will therefore be essential) Essential skills and experience:
Along with excellent customer service experience, you will ideally need to have at least 5 years commercial sales experience and a technical mindset, in order to be able to understand and be able to demonstrate the product range, effectively.
Technical mindset and a confident approach to developing and closing new business opportunities, in a technical industry.
A Fast learner who is able to understand and relay technical information.
Planning and delivering projects – with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Proven ability to meet sales targets, conduct research and present results, and prepare sales reports for the management team.
Consultative sales approach with the ability to understand customer challenges and translate these into business opportunities.
Previous International Account Management or Sales experience would be advantageous as you will be liaising with customers globally.
A willingness to work as part of a team is also essential for this role, as you will work closely with a variety of internal team members to fulfil the clients’ orders.
