Youth and NEET Engagement Worker
Brentford, Greater London, England
Contract (Full time)
Like autonomy in your day? Making a difference to kids from challenging backgrounds? You will be supporting young people at one of the most pinnacle points in their lives. Helping them work towards goals to reach their potential.
The charity you will be joining are a great place to work. They have a track record for developing people. And everyone that works there really wants to make a difference.
Please note: we are recruiting for four roles across West London, so you will be based in either a PRU, School or College. And will be based in either Brentford (full time vacancy), Feltham (full time vacancy), Isleworth (TBC), and Heston (TBC)
Typically you will have a caseload of around 40 young people. Eligibility for your clients could include young carers, students with an exclusion plan or those struggling academically. This will mostly be one to one delivery (twice a month contact). The idea is to give the young person space. Set goals. Help them manage their emotions and to become motivated. With a focus on areas such as employability, CV workshops, work experience, lifestyle wellbeing, relationships and revision skills.
You will be four days based in an educational setting. And then one day home based to catch up on admin. People who have worked as a Youth Worker, Teaching Assistant, Learning & Behaviour Mentor or similar would be a great for this role.
The post is initially a 12 month contract. Please apply via this advert. You must have experience of working with young people in a role similar to the ones mentioned. Feel free to call the office and ask for Lawrence if you would like to talk to someone before applying or if you have applied and have not heard back as yet (number on the Red 5 People website)
