2nd Line Desktop Support - Chichester based - 3-6 Months
We currently require the services of a 2nd Line Desktop Support Engineer to work for a well respected client based in Chichester.
- Provide 2nd line support to end users Escalating IT issues to the Desktop Team Manager where necessary Responsible for managing backups and tape rotation Responsible for assisting with client cheque printing and adhoc print jobs Diagnosing and resolving technical issues Undertaking small- to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the Desktop Team Manager Providing remote desktop support for Windows 7Providing smartphone support – creating, setting up accounts and devices. Supporting and maintaining MS Windows 7 DesktopsSetting up and configuring new laptops and desktops Installing authorised software to laptops and desktops Ensuring security and upgrades are applied to desktops and laptops and kept up to date Fault finding to laptops and desktops Reporting faults and maintaining logs on desktops and laptops Ensuring all logs for equipment and users are maintained Setting up new users and disabling expired accounts in accordance with HR requirements
