Due to continuous growth, they are currently seeking a Logistics Team Leader to join a division of the business responsible for the design, development, production and distribution of mobile technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operation of supply chain logistics. You will lead a team in executing logistics plans to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule. You will be chiefly responsible for reviewing freight rates and other transportation costs to keep working costs low as well as implementing and maintaining quality standards throughout the logistic processes. Joining the business a Team Leader, this role offers very genuine potential to progress quickly into a Management role.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee the distribution, movement, storage of inventory and materials.

* Resolve inventory arrival complaints and customer service disputes.

* Coordinate internal personnel.

* Negotiate supplier and shipment costs.

* Manage logistics processes budgets.

* Develop cost-reducing strategies and improvements for efficiency.

* Monitor workplace safety standards and ensure they are being followed.

* Maintain and develop a continuous improvement mindset throughout the team.

* Develop improvements in working environment.

* Identify and assign project time to process improvements.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

* 3 to 5 years’ experience in an export / import role

* Working knowledge of all customs processes and paperwork requirements

* Working relationship with major carriers such as FedEx, TNT, DHL etc.

* Post Brexit export experience to EU.

* Import / Export experience from / to USA, Canada, Japan, Singapore, China

* Proven Team Leader / Manager experience

* Appropriate academic and (or) vocational qualification.

* Proven leadership and people management skills.

* Experience of Siebel, ORACLE and SAP or similar business system (s)

* Strong KPI management and the ability to analyse data to influence KPI’s

* Excellent understanding of cost drivers and demonstrated success of cost reduction.

* Demonstrated financial awareness and ability to positively impact the P&L

* Proven CRM expertise.

* Strong problem solving and root cause analysis to ensure closed loop issue resolution

* Ideally Institute of Export / Import qualified.
