REED are currently partnered with one of the largest Not For profit organisations in London. My client is looking for an expereince Payroll Manager to come on board for a 12 month FTC. Managing one team member to purpose of this role includes being responsible for the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll for over 1000 employees.  Offering great benefits such as flexible working, 32 days holiday, generous maternity, paternity and adoption leave packages. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the processing of all payrolls in an accurate and timely manner
  • Make deductions from payrolls, which includes Pension contributions, season ticket loans, GMB Contributions, Childcare vouchers, Simply Health, Gaye, Court orders, and make the necessary payments to the relevant organisations
  • Ensure the processing of all transactions to an agreed timetable.  All monthly payroll third party submissions must be made accurately and in line with specific deadlines given
  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly payments to the Inland Revenue for Tax and National Insurance contributions and all information submissions / requests, both regular and ad hoc as required
  • Preparation of monthly and annual pension contributions schedules to the scheme administrators
  • Ensure that the reconciliation of all payroll control accounts is completed in line with the finance department monthly timetable.  Any reconciling items must be resolved in a timely manner
  • Produce P60’s for all current employees on an annual basis
  • Submit FPS & EPS returns after each payroll run
  • Prepare the PSA submissions and ensuring PSA’s are maintained and fit for purpose, annual submissions and resulting payment must be made within required deadlines.
  • Provide information required for internal and external audits in required formats in a timely manner
  • Keep abreast of all legislation relating to the maintenance of payrolls by attending regular courses and conferences
  • Liaise closely with the People & OD team to ensure that all the necessary data is processed in each payroll run and provide support to People & OD with any enquires and information that they may require
  • Support and provide training and cover for the Finance Officer (Payroll) in their role with regards to specific payroll functions
  • Provide information and advice to staff with regards to all aspects of their salary
  • Seek to ensure that accounting processes relating to payroll are fully understood and complied with by all Group staff
  • Provide appropriate supervision to the Finance Officer (Payroll)
  • Contribute to the professional development of the Finance Officer (Payroll) including on the job training
  • Train the Finance Officer (Payroll) to be competent in the process of all payroll functions to be able to provide adequate cover
