Reporting into the Head of Customer Logistics this is an exciting White Collar Logistics role with a business that wants to develop, coach & mentor you into a Manager of the future.
Communication & liaison with clients on a daily basis.
Account management of client relationships.
Negotiation with suppliers, carriers and customers.
Thinking commercially at all times.
Use of IT systems to create/maintain reports (mainly via Excel) and using this data to inform decision-making/provide reports to management/customers as required.
Other operational requirements as they arise - this is an SME business so you will have a wider scope than within a blue-chip business.
This role will be working office hours - Monday to Friday but may require some flexibility dependent upon business requirements.
Exposure to other parts of the business at the right times in order to develop your career.
Training, Coaching and vocational courses will be provided where appropriate to allow you to maximise your potential.
A highly dynamic role in a fast-paced Logistics business where no 2 days are the same.
Graduate or graduate calibre individual with a hunger to progress your career.
Demonstrable Customer Service/Account Management/Commercial exposure - ideally within a Logistics/Supply Chain setting.
Able to commute to & from Cleckheaton on a daily basis.
Strong "Can Do" attitude as this is a highly demanding role where no day will ever be the same.
A strong-minded person who can deal with a fast-paced & ever-changing role.
Proactive mindset - able to think ahead and use problem-solving skills to anticipate potential issues before they arise.
Strong Commercial acumen.
Supervisory experience is advantageous but not essential.
Intermediate level of IT knowledge - predominantly in MS Excel and other systems so you can provide reports/analysis to management and/or customers.
