IFA Administrator/Paraplanner - route to Advisor with flexible working

The Opportunity

Our client, a growing and ambitious firm based in prestigious offices in central London, provides independent financial advice and investment management for Private Clients and their families. As a result of this growth they are looking to expand their team with the recruitment of an ambitious IFA Administrator or junior Paraplanner to provide full paraplanning and some administrative support to an existing team comprising two advisers and an administrator, with a focus on efficiency, compliance, quality, and accuracy. They are genuinely looking for a candidate who would eventually like to progress to become a financial adviser.

The Role

As an experienced IFA Administrator or junior Paraplanner, duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Acting as a point of contact for clients
  • Preparing suitability report packs and ensuring all regulatory and internal firm requirements are met
  • Product and fund research
  • Liaising with the administrator to ensure prompt and compliant submission of new business
  • Assisting with the preparation of portfolio valuations/reviews and packs for client reviews and meetings
  • Managing pipeline business
  • Maintaining new business and existing records on the firm’s back-office system (Intelliflo Office)
  • Screening and dealing with the consultant’s email, post, and calls where appropriate
  • Ensuring portfolios are rebalanced promptly and accurately
  • Ad-hoc tasks and projects for the wider practice team

About you

As an experienced IFA Administrator or junior Paraplanner will possess the following:

  • Good knowledge and recent experience of the Intelliflo (IO) back-office system (Desirable)
  • Experience of liaising with product/investment providers and platforms
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • The ability to produce comprehensive, accurate, and clear suitability reports using a combination of standard paragraphs and free text
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team but also to work unsupervised with a high level of self-motivation
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • IT skills including MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, OneNote, Teams) and the ability to pick up new software/programs quickly
