Anderson Knight is looking to recruit a Senior PA for one of our public sector organization's for initially a 6 month contract, the role will be to provide full PA support with a prestigious public sector organisation.

You have the choice to work from home, in the office or a mix – the choice is yours. Working business hours and is paying an attractive salary.

Duties:

* Delivery of timely and best practice Secretariat and Corporate Governance support for Boards and committees within own area of responsibility

* Working in a centralized Secretariat and Executive Support team, providing a consistent level of assistance to Delivery and Schemes Directorate as defined in the team's Terms of Reference

* Working proactively with the Chair of each Board and committee to confirm agendas and ensure the effective and efficient running of meetings

* Preparing standard management information reports by liaising with relevant individuals and internal departments

* Proactive management of SCS diaries; booking rooms, cancellation of rooms and proactively dealing with diary clashes

* Carrying out a range of processes and use of relevant systems, ensuring that they are effectively maintained and coordinated, recommending improvement where possible

* Prioritizing, monitoring, and controlling all incoming and outgoing papers, e-mails, and documents, taking action as and when appropriate

* Following up issues across the Directorate and with individuals in other Directorates

* Managing travel, accommodation, and bookings

* Covering for other PAs or Secretariat as requested

* Undertaking any additional tasks as required in line with evolving priorities of the centralized Secretariat and Executive Support teams

* Maintaining and updating records of Board meetings

* Establishing and maintaining a timetable of Board meetings, in discussion with the Chairs of the meetings and taking account of external attendance and other important internal commitments; sending and keeping up to date Outlook invitations and booking rooms (Glasgow/London as appropriate) and arranging video conference facilities where needed

* Preparing accurate and relevant materials and minutes for meetings

* Preparing itineraries and daily / periodic meeting packs including maps, travel details and key contacts

Experience:

* MS Office Packages competent

* Proven track record in a similar role

* If you have worked in the public sector, government or a charity then this will suit your experience and skill set.
